Cancelations and Refunds

For any cancellation of your bookings, you must email us with your reservation details as soon as possible at hello@expeditionsbytwelve.com and indicate CANCELLATION.

Cancellation fees will be applied as follows:

120 + days to your Safari – Full refund minus the 15% non-refundable deposit. *(An amount of the15% non-refundable deposit can be used towards a future trip, after consultation and in agreement with us)

119 to 91 days to your Safari – 50% refund

0 – 60 days to your Safari – 100% cancellation fee will be applied. No refunds will be due.

No refunds will be given for any reason for unused portion of a Safari once the trip begins, including if you decide to leave the trip for any reason or must be removed from a trip. There are no exceptions to this cancellation policy for any circumstance beyond our control.

Amendment / Change of dates by you: We will remain as flexible as possible to changes to dates of travel, however any additional fees charged by our suppliers of accommodation, transport of flight partners will be added to your final invoice. Should the changes not be possible, cancellation policy will be applicable. In consultation with you, however, we may be able to hold the deposits for future travel. This is entirely at our discretion and our travel partners.

Changes made by us: Expeditions by Twelve reserves the right to refuse, amend a booking or trip at any time, for any reason, at its sole discretion. Our suppliers reserve the right to, in consultation with Expeditions by Twelve to substitute hotels, safari lodges, restaurants or other services listed in the itinerary with comparable services if necessary.

In the rare even that Expeditions By Twelve is forced to cancel or reschedule a trip for any unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as acts of nature, force majeure or safety issue, we will reschedule your trip departure date in consultation with you. If you are unable to travel on the rescheduled dates, you may keep 100% of your booking value as a Trip credit to be used within 18 months of the issuance date.

Credit Card authorisation for post-booking charges: You authorise Expeditions By Twelve to charge your credit card for any cancellation fees or supplemental payments that you incur post-booking.
